Twickenham Conservatives Policy Forum
The Twickenham Conservatives Policy Forum (TCPF) gives Twickenham members the opportunity to take part in policy discussions and get their voice heard at the highest levels of the Party.
What does TCPF do?
The TCPF is the local wing of the National Party Group that gives Members the opportunity to discuss the major policy challenges facing Britain. Nationally the Conservative Policy Forum (CPF) is chaired by Oliver Letwin, Minister for Government Policy. Locally TCPF is chaired by our Political Deputy Chairman who oversees and reports on widespread consultation in the community with those who will be affected by the policies under discussion.
What does TCPF discuss?
The national CPF provides discussion briefs for the TCPF to consider. TCPF arranges local consultation followed by meetings for members to debate policy on those topics and then reports back to the centre on what their members think. Feedback from Ministers is presented at subsequent meetings. These reports reach the highest levels of the Party, right to cabinet level, and will influence the development of Party policy ahead of the next General Election.
How can you get involved?
By joining the party and attending TCPF meetings locally you will be able to take part in these debates and discussions. In addition TCPF are planning an exciting programme for the future with opportunities to attend Regional and National events as well as to meet with MPs and Ministers face to face to discuss Party Policy.
When does TCPF meet?
TCPF meetings take place on the first Wednesday of the month and details will be advertised on our Events page.
